Welcome to my web site! Thank you for taking the time to explore these pages. I look

Thank you for electing me to the El Cajon City Council, It has been an honor and a
privilege to serve you there.
I have worked hard during my term to bring peace to a once-volatile council. Now we are
working together to move forward and bring El Cajon into the 21st Century! Recently we
have broken ground on millions of dollars worth of new construction in Downtown. Many more
projects will begin by year’s end. The path has been cleared and our City Council is
forging ahead full steam!
I am here today to ask for your help to keep us moving forward. I want to complete the
work I have begun. My goals?
- Safe streets for our children and seniors

As a 45-year East County resident, husband and father of three, I have
the vision to lead El Cajon. I have proven leadership experience: I have served as an
elected member of the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District Governing Board since
1997, I served two terms on the El Cajon Planning Commission, and I am currently serving
as Mayor Pro-Tem for the City of El Cajon. I have a proven track record and I have a
vision for the future!
I am proud to serve as your neighbor on the City Council. If you have any questions,
comments or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to call me at home: 442-6563. I
want to hear from you! I am holding open office hours at City Hall every Tuesday from
8:30 - 11:30 AM: come by and let me know what's on your mind! And in November, please
remember – for El Cajon City Council, the choice is clear: Gary Kendrick.
